THE PSALM 34 CHALLENGE – One More Day To Review!
You can join on any day – and memorize the Psalm at your own pace. The weekend is for review.
About 4 years ago, my son, David Robertson, preached his first sermon and it was on Psalm 34. When he saw our challenge to memorize the Psalm he looked back at his sermon and said that he would like to redo it since he has grown in his understanding of the Psalm during the last four years. I encouraged him to record it and I have posted it here for your enjoyment today.
I am reviewing my verses today by saying them out loud and also writing them below:
Verse 1: I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
Verse 2: My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; the humble shall hear of it and be glad.
Verse 3: Oh, magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together.
Verse 4: I sought the LORD, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
Verse 5: They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed.
Verse 6: This poor man cried out, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
Verse 7: The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them.
Verse 8: Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
Don’t give up. I wrote it out with five errors, that I have since corrected. So, I tried later in the day and had two errors.
For me, it is easier to say it out loud than to write it out without hearing my voice.
Lord willing, we’ll see you again on Facebook on Monday!
