The Word of God
“More to be desired are they than gold,
yea, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.”
-Psalm 19:10 (NKJV)
THE PSALM 34 CHALLENGE – Review Day 1

THE PSALM 34 CHALLENGE – Review, Review, Review!
You can join on any day – and memorize the Psalm at your own pace. The weekend is for review.

A little over a week ago I began my daily radiation treatments for cancer. Thankfully the cancer treatment center gives me a break on the weekend. It gives my body a chance to rest.

A little over a week ago many of you joined us in the #psalm34challenge. Thankfully we will take a break over the weekend. It will give us a chance to review what we have already memorized.

We are delighted with how many have become participants in the #psalm34challenge. We know of at least 52 people who have told us that they are memorizing Psalm 34 with us. If you have told us, we are now praying for you that the Lord will help you to accomplish the challenge. Thank you for joining us. If you haven’t told us, let us know and we’ll pray for you, too!

Do you want to encourage even more people to hide the Word of God in their hearts? We have made all of our posts open to the public, so you can share them, or you can simply write the hashtag: #psalm34challenge as a post on your Facebook page, and all of the posts will be available to your friends. Or you can link to this website which will list the verses in order: https://iwilltrustinthelord.com/blog/

Here’s how I will review the verses on Saturday and Sunday. I will say them out loud throughout the day. I will have Krista check for accuracy. I will also write out the verses as another way to lock these verses away in my heart. Here I go:

Verse 1: I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
Verse 2: My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; the humble shall hear of it and be glad.
Verse 3: Oh, magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together.
Verse 4: I sought the LORD, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
Verse 5: They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed.
Verse 6: This poor man cried out, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
Verse 7: The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them.
Verse 8: Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!

I wrote out the verses above by memory and after checking for accuracy, I found one mistake in my memory of verse 6 and corrected it. So this underscores my need to review. I hope you’ll do the same this weekend.

Be encouraged. Every verse you hide in your heart is “more to be desired than gold, yea, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb” (Psalm 19:10).
